石澳後灘的水流較為湍急，加上水底不太平坦，故當局未有開放此泳灘作游泳之用, 到此的遊人仍可在沙灘進行其他玩樂活動及曬太陽。此泳灘的救生服務暫停, 而且亦未設有防鯊網, 加上水流湍急，及水底不平坦, 不建議遊人在此游泳
